Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management (OEM), in partnership with Independence First, invites you and your colleagues to a free virtual training on working with people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or DeafBlind.

This seminar will focus on how organizations can better serve people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or DeafBlind. Participants will learn about:

  • Legal requirements for working with individuals who have hearing loss
  • How to accommodate requests to ensure effective communication
  • Ways to strengthen customer and patient services for organizations, clinics, and businesses
Intended Audience:

This seminar is recommended for any organization who interacts with the public and wants to improve accessibility and inclusion.
