Business Continuity Operations

Following an in-depth table-top exercise addressing a tornado hitting the Milwaukee area, SWHSP developed a four part education series addressing business continuity operations.  This series addressed the considerations and activities impacting businesses following significant emergency events: Response, Recovery, Restoration, and Resumption.  Each session included a presentation and group discussion.  Those presentations are available below for reference:

  • Overview: Four Phases of Operational Continuity
  • Response: Business Response (Preparing to continue business after the emergency response)
  • Recovery: Activating Plans for Business Critical processes
  • Restoration: Restoring Physical and/or Technical Environment
  • Resumption: Resume ‘Normal’ business Operations & Understanding the ‘People’ Impacts
